Commuting to Campus
The Student Affairs staff seeks to provide services and programs for commuter students to assure that commuter students are active members within the campus community. There are a few things that every commuter student needs to know.
Commuter Student Association
All commuting students are automatically members of the Commuter Student Association (CSA). CSA is a body of commuting students whose purpose is to integrate commuting students into campus activities. The CSA works closely with the director of student activities to identify areas for improvement with commuter student services and work to address those needs. If you have an idea or if you want to get involved in CSA contact the Student Activities office at 412-365-1527.
Policy for Commuter Students
Students must live on-campus for their first two years in college. First and second year students are only allowed to live off-campus if they are living with family in the Pittsburgh area. Documentation must be provided to the Office of Residence Life. Students found to not be residing with family will face disciplinary review and fines up to the cost of housing.
Commuter Parking
Students who intend to commute to campus with a car need to know the options for parking. Questions about parking permits and public transportation to Chatham University can be answered at the Public Safety website.
