Student Affairs Vision
Increase Self-Awareness: Chatham expects that students will be open to learning a lot about themselves and thus creates opportunities to explore oneself, one’s talents, abilities and gifts.
Encourage Social Responsibility: Chatham challenges students to increase their awareness of how one’s behavior impacts other people, organizations and the natural world around us.
Enhance Cultural & Global Awareness: Chatham celebrates cultural diversity through programs and services that prepare students to understand the importance of globalization in today's society. Through educational opportunities, students are encouraged to learn about cultures, ethnicities, religions and countries other than their own.
Develop Leadership Ability: Chatham offers innovative and creative programs which develop and enhance students' leadership skills in order to compete in an ever changing world. Chatham is committed to preparing graduates who are confident in their abilities, well-versed in their academic pursuits, influential in their careers and communities and experienced in leading people toward a common goal.
Establish a Lifestyle of Wellness: Chatham provides programs, resources and services to support students to lead healthy and balanced lifestyles as they make informed choices about their educational, social, fitness, recreational, spiritual, professional and intellectual pursuits.
Make Connections: Chatham students have many opportunities to network with peers, faculty, staff, alumnae, professionals, and community service providers in both informal and formal settings. Chatham is committed to providing on-campus and off-campus programs and events that allow students to be in the right place at the right time to make those important personal and professional connections, the kind of connections which ultimately lead students to identify and realize their goals. |
