Yes, all graduation events are open to both undergraduate and graduate students who have applied for degree conferral in May.

Unfortunately, due to event capacity restrictions and available campus spaces for large ceremonies, Chatham is unable to accommodate guests in addition to participants and volunteers.
Unfortunately, no guests are allowed due to event capacity restrictions. Volunteers and other graduating students will be there to cheer you on.
Physical distancing will be in place with six feet of distance between individuals and through staggered start times for small groups. Masks and other health and safety protocols will also be in place.

No, there will not be a rehearsal for the in-person experience. Instructions will be provided to each group before their session, and volunteers will also be on hand to guide participants.

Some individual events may allow limited guests. Check with each event organizer for their policies and restrictions.

No. You will receive a diploma cover and your actual diploma will be mailed to you (this is standard for each graduation). 
Yes, all graduates’ names will be read during Virtual Commencement. 
Absolutely—all graduates will be eligible and invited to participate in a fully in-person graduation ceremony as soon as they are held later in 2021 or 2022.
You should wear your regalia for your graduation photo, the in-person graduation experience, and any other graduation ceremonies you choose to attend.
Chatham will have some shared regalia on-hand for use that will be disinfected after use.
Graduation photos will be used in the Virtual Commencement ceremony and a digital copy will be provided to you for free.
While we encourage you to order and have photos in your regalia, they are not required for the photo.
