Josh earned his doctorate in Education from Duquesne University. He teaches English and Creative Writing at Allderdice High School in Squirrel Hill, where he also serves as the school's Site Liaison for student teachers and student observers. He helped to rewrite and revise the English 3 AP and English 4 AP curricula for the Pittsburgh Public Schools in advance of the 2007 AP Audit. He is the English 4 Lead Writer for the Pittsburgh Public Schools' current revision of its Core Curriculum. He has also been an active member of the NCTE and its regional affiliates. Josh was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Allderdice High School.
