Dr. Christie Lewis’ experience as an educator includes teaching students in grades 7-12, as well as teaching in higher education at both the undergraduate and graduate level. She has also worked Assistant Director of Admissions and as a Student Accounts Coordinator in higher education. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Park University, a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Chatham University, a Master of Education is Special Education, grades 7-12, with an Autism endorsement degree from Slippery Rock University, and an Ed.D. in Leadership and Administration from Point Park University. Ms. Lewis is a Pennsylvania certified English teacher (grades 7-12) and also holds an Autism Endorsement through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Her dissertation topic was “The Lived Educational Experiences of Multiracial College Graduate Who Grew Up in Poverty.” Since 2010, Miss Lewis has been member of the Education Department at Chatham University. Ms. Lewis currently works with pre-service teachers, university supervisors, mentor teachers, serves as the Act 48 coordinator and places all students for field and student teaching experiences.
