DNP Program Structure (27 Credits)

Students looking for a doctorate of nursing practice degree find Chatham's to be one of the shortest-to-degree clinical doctorates in the market. Our Doctor of Nursing Practice is a 27-credit program offering meaningful, sequential courses that provide practical knowledge for the advanced practice RN. Each online course required for the DNP program is 14 weeks in length and students may choose a full-time or part-time schedule. Depending on their preferred pace, students can complete the program in three to five semesters and 500 practice experience hours (self-directed practice experience capstone project) with only one brief, two-day residency required. Students may determine a focus specific to their interests for their capstone project pending faculty approval.
