Learn how the act of asking can be a career enhancing conversation regardless of the outcome. Determine the price women pay for not asking. This interactive workshop explores what often happens when women negotiate for themselves and why otherwise adept negotiators fail to strike the best deal when it’s their salary, resources, connections or promotions on the line. We explore the obstacles that prevent women from recognizing opportunities for negotiations and learn the relationship between low entitlement and low targets. Finally, we construct strategies for dealing with backlash when women defy traditional expectations in their negotiations. As an attorney, consultant, coach and trainer for more than 20 years, MJ Tocci guides women at all levels to improve their skills and helps corporations, educators and law firms create the kind of environment that will use those skills effectively.
