Kim Schwabenbauer, RD, LDN, is a 2002 graduate of Penn State University’s Nutrition Program and a 2003 graduate of the Penn State University’s Dietetic Internship Program. Kim is an executive committee member of sports, cardiovascular, and wellness nutritionists (SCAN) a dietetic practice group of the American Dietetic Association.

Kim is not only a dietitian, but an avid athlete, serving as team captain of the cross–country team during her time at Penn State University after walking on as a sophomore. Today she retains certifications as a USA Level One Triathlon Coach, Professional Triathlete and runs her own personal sports nutrition counseling and endurance coaching business called "Fuel Your Passion" which stemmed from her love of nutrition & endurance sports of all distances. In July 2011, Kim worked with a young man in Pittsburgh as a triathlon coach filming MTV’s show "MADE" which aired January 2012.

Kim completed her first Ironman triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run) at the World Championships in Hawaii on October 11th, 2008. Since then she has completed seven Ironmans and holds two Ironman overall amateur titles. The 2012 season was Kim’s first as a professional triathlete where she placed 10th at Ironman Arizona with a time of 9 hours 30 minutes & a new personal record. Kim believes no matter where you are starting, the journey of a thousand miles, starts with a single step.
