RESCHEDULED: Lunch n' Learn Session: Peace Corps

Tuesday, October 25, 2016
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Lounge, Carriage House

Bring your lunch to the Carriage House and learn more about opportunities with the Peace Corps and AmierCorps!
The Peace Corps is a leader in international development and citizen diplomacy. In an increasingly interdependent world, we tackle challenges that know no borders—such as climate change, pandemic disease, food security, and gender equality and empowerment. Today, Peace Corps is more vital than ever, working in collaboration with partner organizations and using cutting-edge technologies and well-tested best practices to enhance impact.
AmeriCorps is the national service movement that provides thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds with an education award and real world experience in exchange for a year of community service. KEYS Service Corps, AmeriCorps, is one of the largest AmeriCorps programs in the Pittsburgh area. Our team is made up of enthusiastic individuals who are dedicating ten months of their lives to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth. Our members serve at-risk Pittsburgh and Allegheny County area youth by providing safe places with structured activities, assisting with homework and classwork, implementing community service/service-learning projects, and involving community volunteers in service.
