Come listen to speaker and hair entrepreneur, Isis Brantley. Isis maintains the Institute of Ancestral Braiding. The salon Institute became a beacon of hope, postivity, and a repository of cultural and spiritual ancestral knowledge.
Isis was arrested in 1997 for the crime of braiding hair. Isis battled to have hair braiding removed from cosmetology/barbering laws.
