Chatham Hair Expo - 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Mellon Center
Featuring workshops, product demonstrations, and natural beauty resources focused on the connections between Black women’s health, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social justice. Workshop Facilitators will include Chatham alumna and local business owners.

Keynote, Dr. Tiffany Gill - 7:00 PM-8:30 PM, Mellon Board Room
2017-18 Women’s Leadership Lecture Series kickoff.

Dr. Gill, an Associate Professor of Africana Studies and History at the University of Delaware will present: "A Strange Place for a Revolution: The Politics of Black Beauty in an Era of Crisis."

Dr. Gill is the author of Beauty Shop Politics: African American Women’s Activism in the Beauty Industry.

Directions

Parking is free in the Library Parking Lot which you can only enter off of Murray Hill Avenue (not to be confused with Murray Avenue).

Murray Hill Avenue can be reached from both Wilkins and Fifth Avenue and is a cobblestone street. From Fifth Ave, it is located between Maryland Ave and S. Negley Ave. From Wilkins, it is located between Murray Ave and S. Negley Ave.
