The Chatham University MFA in Creative Writing Program will host Dialogues: the Language of Change, with featured authors Shaka Senghor and Renée Watson. Dialogues is an annual reading series presented by the Chatham University MFA in Creative Writing Program. This event follows Dialogues: Writers on Disabilities and Inclusion and Dialogues: Turning South. This event is made possible by a grant generously awarded from the National Endowment for the Arts. As part of their time at Chatham, Senghor and Watson will visit Allegheny County Jail and Sojourner House to engage with writers at those facilities around the theme of writing for change. The event is free and open to the public. Copies of Shaka Senghor and Renée Watson’s novels will be for sale onsite after the event.
