Chatham University Parents' Council

Members of the CUPC also serve as Chatham ambassadors to support the University mission and enrich the student experience. All parents are invited to become involved with Chatham by participating in campus and regional programs, services, and events. There are no dues.

Ways to Volunteer

  • Volunteer for the CUPC Executive Committee - Representing over 1,400 current parents in the Chatham community, the CUPC Executive Committee works on behalf of Chatham and its students to enhance educational experiences and opportunities. If you have ideas, opportunities, expertise, or just a love for the Chatham Community, you can help lead the Parents' Council.
  • Outreach - There are plenty of opportunities to help extend and enrich the Chatham family. Help us connect with other parents by giving a quick annual call to a few incoming parents to welcome them to Chatham. Inform others on what to expect and how best to prepare for their child's entry into college life.
  • Events - Join us at athletic competitions and receptions, as well as campus and community events to meet with other parents, Chatham administration, faculty and staff to enhance the experience for all involved.
  • Professional opportunities - Using your professional and personal knowledge and networks, help our students connect with and learn from those in your field.
    • Internships - Connect our bright and talented students with an internship opportunity. Help our students get off on the right foot with work and world experience in your professional field.
    • Career mentorship - Mentor students through our Career Services programs so students can be better prepared for a variety of careers that await them after graduation. Share with students what a typical work day is like in your professional field; what training would be needed to succeed in your area of expertise; professional industry trends; and general advice that would help students understand more about the opportunities presented to them.
