Class of 2007

Michele graduated from Chatham University with her MFA in writing for children in 2007. She went on to receive her doctorate from the School of Teaching & Learning at The Ohio State University. The focus of her dissertation research was on the use of myth in young adult and middle grade fantasy novels.

Michele has since relocated to work at Southeastern Louisiana University as a visiting assistant professor. She teaches ways to incorporate literature and writing into middle and high school English classes. She continues to write young adult novels and is represented by Adams Literary.
