Mark Anthony Rolo is an enrolled member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. He is the former editor of The Circle newspaper (Minneapolis), Washington D.C., Bureau Chief for Indian Country Today, and executive director of the Native American Journalists Association. His publications include: What's an Indian Woman to Do? and Other Plays (UCLA , 2010) and My Mother is Now Earth (Borealis Books, 2012), a memoir about his mother. Mark Anthony is a 1997 alum of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. He served as host and co-writer of the PBS film A Seat at the Drum (2006). His recent film Legend Lake: A Talking Circle, was an official selection of the 2011 Wisconsin Film Festival. Mark Anthony has also taught community-based video journalism to farm communities in Mozamibque, Africa.
