Teaching and mentoring individuals by connecting their course objectives by providing real life experiences. Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies at home and work then initiate the change to remove the inefficiencies. Collaborating with health care providers across the continuum to provide care that is safe, effective, efficient, personalized, timely and equitable.

Biography

Donna Haid has been a nurse for 30 years. Her experiences include obstetrics, med/surg, critical care and home care. As a staff nurse, she was approached to assist the development of electronic nursing documentation. During the completion of her bachelor's degree, she was exposed to performance improvement tools and monitored regulation standards for Joint Commission and the Department of Health. She accepted the role of Systems Improvement Specialist which provided her an overview of many inconsistent processes and an opportunity to streamline. She became Lean certified, which evaluates the steps within a process and determines if the step is adding value. She accepted the role of the Clinical Informatics Manager and led a team to streamline nursing admission assessment, medication administration, and discharge documentation. She also was instrumental in attesting for Meaningful use and the implementation of Computerized Provider Order Entry. She completed her MSN in Nursing Informatics and became board certified by the ANCC. Donna is now the Director of Emerging Payment Reform and ensures her facility is adhering to changes to health care payment reform.
