Nominate Us for a Student Organization Award

The Closing Convocation is on Thursday, April 16 at 4pm. Every year there are individual and student organization awards announced at this event and The Minor Bird is aiming for the “Outstanding Student Organization Award” and “Most Spirited Organization Award.” Please consider nominating us for one or both of these awards!

Keep in mind all the hard work we’ve done this year: MakerSpace Studio, recruiting in classes, the executive shadow curriculum, the (upcoming) launch party, the reviewers’ best-practices workshop series, starting the SOAR awards, etc.

Applications are under “My Tools” and the “Leadership, Organization, and Closing Convocation Awards” button. The deadline to nominate is Monday, March 16th on my.chatham.

If you have any questions on how to fill this out, email iyanna.armwood@chatham.edu.

Hot Off the Press: The Minor Bird 2019 Issue!

It’s bittersweet, but the end of the 2018-2019 school year is upon us and with that, The Minor Bird’s 90th issue is now officially in print! Thank you to all who were a part of this project, whether you submitted your work, dedicated long evenings to serving on the Editorial Board, came to our Launch Party, or simply supported us along the way. We could not have ended the year with such an amazing issue without our Chatham community, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

With that said, be sure to pick up your free copy of the Minor Bird on campus! Copies are available in the library, Lindsay House, Cafe Rachel, and Student Affairs. This year’s article features incredible poetry, prose, and art from current students and Chatham alums, and you won’t want to miss it.

See you next year!
