Originally from Upstate New York, Mr. Schrader earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Carnegie Mellon University (2006) and his Master of Arts in Education from New York University (2008). He taught theatre arts, English literature, and academic writing skills at secondary schools in New York City for two years before moving back to Pittsburgh in 2009. Since then, Mr. Schrader has served as a teaching artist in local schools, managed box office at several local theaters, supervised front-of-house staff at a fine dining restaurant, and managed fundraising and marketing projects for a non-profit events venue. At Chatham, he started as the clinical administrative assistant for the MPAS program, moved to the role of program assistant for MOT and OTD programs, and is now graduate admission recruiter for the MPAS and MSBIO programs. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring new music, writing, and traveling with his wife.
