+Kathleen McGinty (D)

Kathleen McGinty

Katie McGinty is the Democratic candidate seeking election to the US Senate from Pennsylvania.

Ms. McGinty grew up in Northeast Philadelphia. She went to Saint Joseph's University and law school at Columbia. After graduating from law school, McGinty became a judicial clerk for the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. She served as President Bill Clinton's deputy assistant and then as chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. She served as an adviser to Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign before joining Natsource, where she served as vice president for asset management. She remained in this role until 2003, when she was named head of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection by Gov. Ed Rendell. She also served as Chief of Staff to Governor Tom Wolf.

Ms. McGinty lives in Wayne, Chester County, with her husband Karl, and their three daughters, Tara, Alana and Allie.

Deborah Williams

Deborah L. Williams is the Republican candidate in the 1st Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Williams is an ordained minister and received her BA and MA (in theology) from the Jameson Christian Academy in Wynnefield. She also received a doctorate in theology (Th.D.). She is the former Republican leader of Northwest Philadelphia's 17th ward and the GOP's candidate for the 8th District City Council seat in 2003 and the 1st District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2004.

Kerith Strano Taylor

Kerith Strano Taylor is the Democratic candidate in the 5th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Taylor was born in Clarion County and started college at The Pennsylvania State University at age 16, where she graduated with a BA in Political Science. After working in government affairs in Washington D.C. for two years, she enrolled at George Mason University School of Law and earned her law degree. Since 2004, Ms. Taylor has served as Guardian ad Litem for Jefferson County, representing children who find themselves in the foster care system. She was elected to the Brookville Area School Board in 2011, and in 2013, was elected to serve as School Board President.

Ms. Taylor currently lives in Brookville and works at The Taylor Law firm. She is a mother and an avid motorcycle rider.

+Mary Ellen Balchunis (D-7)

Mary Ellen Balchunis

Mary Ellen Balchunis is the Democratic candidate in the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Balchunis attended Cardinal O'Hara High School in Delaware County and has a BA in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Public Administration from Temple University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Temple University. She is currently a Professor at La Salle University in Philadelphia and was the Executive Director of the The Resource Center for Human Services and served as an Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Philadelphia.

Ms. Balchunis has one daughter, Lauren, who is currently a student at USC.

Erin McClelland

Erin McClelland is the Democratic candidate in the 12th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. McClelland graduated from St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights and attended the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She later received her M.S. Counseling Psychology degree from Chatham University. She is a healthcare professional, behavioral healthcare expert with over 17 years of experience in the behavioral health field and has worked as an Executive Director, researcher, process improvement specialist, policy representative and entrepreneur.

Ms. McClelland and her husband of 15 years, John, are lifelong residents of the Alle-Kiski Valley where they live with their son Tristan.

Christina M. Hartman

Christina M. Hartman is the Democratic candidate in the 16th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Hartman was raised in Lancaster County and went to Manheim Township public Schools. She is a graduate of George Washington University and Fordham University. She has previously worked with the Joyful Heart Foundation. Currently, Ms. Hartman brings her expertise to organizations in Lancaster such as Church World Service, the Non-Profit Resource Network at Millersville University, and the Parish Resource Center, providing leadership in strategic planning, fundraising, and communications to enhance the services that these organizations provide to the county and beyond.

Leslie Acosta

Leslie Acosta is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 197th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 197th in 2014. She presently serves on the House Appropriations Committee, Children and Youth Committee, Finance Committee, Human Services Committee and serves as the Democratic Secretary of the State Government.

Representative Acosta was raised in North Philadelphia. She earned her bachelor's degree in Theology and Social Work from Cairn University and her M.B.A. with a concentration in Health Care Management. Representative Acosta has a wide range of work experience in various sectors including non-profit and federal government agencies, and in academia as an adjunct professor at Esperanza College of Eastern University, serving the Hispanic and local communities. She also co-founded a management consultant firm, seeking to help small businesses improve outpatient behavioral health services.

Representative Karen Boback is the incumbent and Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 117th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 117th in 2006. She presently serves on the House Appropriations Committee, Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, Tourism Committee, and Agriculture & Rural Affairs.

Representative Boback is a lifelong resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania and currently resides in Harveys Lake. She is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Misericordia University, Marywood University and The University of Pennsylvania. She has earned a bachelor's degree in elementary/special education; two master's degrees: one in guidance, one in education; and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership. Representative Boback worked in the Tunkhannock Area School District for thirty-three years as a teacher and guidance counselor, and was an adjunct professor at College Misericordia.

Karen and her husband, Bernard J. Boback, Jr. have been married for 38 years and have two children, Karen Christina and Bernard J. Boback III.

Damary Bonilla is the Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 189th Legislative District.

Dr. Bonilla-Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Social Work from the College of New Rochelle where she received the College President's Medal, graduated with Departmental Honors, and was awarded the Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Award. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Communications and a Specialized Certification in Corporate Communications, both from the College of New Rochelle and a Doctorate in Education focusing on Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College.

Dr. Bonilla-Rodriguez is the mother of six year old twin boys.

Stephanie Borowicz is the Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 76th Legislative District.

Ms. Borowicz received her Bachelor's Degree from Vanguard University in Liberal Studies with a minor in Bible. She is a former 4th grade teacher and president of a non- profit organization. She serves as an associate pastor, with her husband, in Jersey Shore, PA.

Ms. Borowicz lives in McElhattan, Pennsylvania with her husband and their three children.

Representative Rosemary Brown is the incumbent and Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 189th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 189th in 2010. She presently serves on the following committees: Education, Gaming Oversite (Vice Chair), Professional Licensure, and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness.

Representative Brown has lived in the Poconos for 36 years. She is a member of St. John's Parish in East Stroudsburg and a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. She attended the University of Scranton, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications. Her business career began in an Executives Management Training program with Macy's. Rosemary then continued working as an Executive Sales Manager and Assistant Buyer with Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue and the Bon-Ton stores. Rosemary then transferred her business skills into the field of pharmaceutical sales where she worked for Hoffman La-Roche and Vistakon (a division of Johnson & Johnson) in primary care, hospital and specialty sales.

Representative Brown and her husband of 20 years, her high school sweetheart Joe, live in Middle Smithfield Township with their three children, Kennedy, Carter and Reagan.

+ Vanessa L. Brown (D-190)

Vanessa Brown

Vanessa Lowery Brown is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 190th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 190th in 2008.She presently serves on the Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Health, State Government, Tourism & Recreational Development and Urban Affairs Committees.

Representative Lowery Brown, before her election to the state House, was a community organizer for the West Philadelphia Coalition. Prior to taking that position in 2006, she volunteered her services to the Coalition. Representative Lowery Brown studied Math at Howard University, and attended the Community College of Philadelphia as a participant in the New Choices New Options Program. She worked as the community outreach specialist at a shelter for homeless women and children; led the Mothers on the Move Committee at the Philadelphia Unemployment Project, and was a representative for the National Campaign for Jobs and Income Support. She also chairs the Community Policing Committee of the Weed and Seed Project.

Representative Lowery Brown has a teenage son in high school, and is actively involved in education issues, both in his school and in the school district.

Donna Bullock

Donna Bullock is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 195th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 195th in a special election held in 2015. She presently serves on the Aging & Older Adult Services, Appropriations, Liquor Control and State Government Committees.

Representative Bullock is a resident of Strawberry Mansion. She graduated from Rutgers University and Temple University's Beasley School of Law. The state Representative served as Special Assistant and Attorney for the Philadelphia City Council President's Office. Prior to her promotion to the President's Office, she was the Community and Economic Development Coordinator in the 5th Council District. In 2007, Representative Bullock joined Laura Solomon Esq. & Associates, a woman-owned law firm that represents tax-exempt organizations.

Representative Bullock and her husband, Otis, enjoy spending time with their two sons, Malcolm and Xavier.

Morgan Cephas is the Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 192nd Legislative District.

Ms. Cephas is a native of West Philadelphia and has worked tirelessly building her community, block by block. A product of Philadelphia Public Schools, Ms. Cephas went on to college and majored in Political Science at the University of Virginia. After graduation Ms. Cephas joined the staff of 4th District Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr., as Deputy Chief of Staff. She later joined the team at the Philadelphia Youth Network to focus more on increasing the education and workforce opportunities available to Philadelphia's most vulnerable youth.

+ Vera Cole (D-145)

Vera Cole

Vera Cole is the Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 145th Legislative District.

Ms. Cole is an engineer and educator. She is the head of the Energy and Sustainability Policy program at Penn State. She has degrees in Mechanical Engineering (BS) from the New York Institute of Technology, Industrial Engineering (MS) from Arizona State University and Information Science and Technology (PhD) from Drexel.

Ms. Cole lives in West Rockhill Township with her husband of 25 years.

Carolyn Comitta is the Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 156th Legislative District.

Ms. Comitta received her Bachelor of Science from West Chester State College in 1974 and her Master of Science in Education from Widener University in 1989. She is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Thomas Comitta Associates (TCA) and has served two-terms as Mayor of West Chester, PA, a member of Borough Council, the National League of Cities and PA Municipal League. Carolyn's professional background is in education. She continues to serve as a mentor to students, and since 1992 has organized the attendance of over 2000 local students at the annual Health and Environment Conference at the United Nations.

+ Becky Corbin (R-155)

Becky Corbin is the incumbent and Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 155th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 155th in 2012. She presently serves on the Environmental Resources & Energy, Health, Liquor Control and Urban Affairs Committees.

Representative Corbin has lived in East Brandywine Township for almost 40 years. She obtained her BS in Chemistry from Chatham University. After college, she worked as a forensic chemist for the Commonwealth of Virginia before returning to Pennsylvania to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry. She also served the 155th district for 21 years as a legislative aide to former State Representatives Curt Schroder and Jim Gerlach.

Representative Corbin and her husband, Michael, live in East Brandywine Township. They have two children and two grandchildren.

Ms. Cornman-Levy attended Brown University where after graduating she pursued a career in the healthcare field as a physical therapist during which she worked at publicly funded hospitals that provided healthcare to disadvantaged populations. She taught physical therapy at Thomas Jefferson University. She has served as Executive Director for three non-profit organizations.

Ms. Cornman-Levy is the mother of two daughters.

She presently serves on the Commerce, Insurance, Transportation, Urban Affairs, and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness House Committees.

Representative Culver is a lifelong resident of Northumberland County. She graduated from Shikellamy High School and earned a BA in Political Science with a concentration in public administration from Bloomsburg University. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Susquehanna Valley Program. Representative Culver served as a staff leader in the office of former State Representative Merle Phillips for more than 20 years.

Representative Culver lives in Rockefeller Township with her husband, Tom, and son, Joshua.

Mary Jo Daley is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 148th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 148th in 2012. She presently serves on the Aging & Older Adult Services, Appropriations, Finance, State Government, and Health House Committees.

Representative Daley graduated from Gwynedd Mercy College with an associate in science degree. She earned a bachelor of business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and later obtained an MPA from the Fels Center of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. Representative Daley's work resume includes the University of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University and served for 20 years as a member of Narberth Borough Council, including 10 years as council president.

Representative Daley and her husband, Bob, live in Narberth. Her children and grandchildren all live in the area.

Margo Davidson is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 164th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 164th in 2010. Representative Davidson is a graduate of Temple University and participated in the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business management certificate program. She began her career as a broadcast journalist, working as a radio broadcaster for several years while starting two non-profit organizations.

Representative Davidson and her husband of 25 years, live in Upper Darby. They have four sons, three grandsons and one daughter-in-law.

Representative Davis is a 1983 graduate of LaSalle University with a degree in computer science. She has worked as real estate agent and currently her and her husband, Jim, own a small local trucking business.

Representative Davis and her husband reside in Buck County, PA. and have three children: son, James and daughters, Taylor and Cameron.

Madeleine Dean is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 153rd Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 153rd in 2012. She presently sits on the Appropriations, Ethics, Finance, and Judiciary House Committees.

Representative Dean earned her undergraduate degree at La Salle University, Philadelphia; her law degree at Widener University School of Law, and attended the University of Pennsylvania, Fels Institute of Government. Madeleine served 11 years as an assistant professor of English at LaSalle University. In addition, Madeleine is a writer and is a contributor to the Philadelphia Daily News and other publications. Prior to teaching, Madeleine practiced law in Philadelphia. Before becoming a member of the General Assembly Madeleine served as Abington Township Commissioner, Ward 7. Representative.

Representative Dean and her husband, Patrick, live in Jenkintown, Abington Township and have three grown sons, and one granddaughter.

Ms. Dean was a teacher before making a mid-life career change and attending Harvard Divinity School.

+ Pamela DeLissio (D-194)

Pamela DeLissio

Pam DeLissio is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 194th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 194th Legislative District in 2010. She presently serves on the Health, Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Aging & Older Adult Services, Children & Youth, and State Government House Committees.

Representative DeLissio earned a bachelor's degree in Health Planning and Administration from Penn State University in 1978. Pam has almost 30 years' experience in the fields of long term care and small business ownership before being elected to the General Assembly.

Representative DeLissio resides in Roxborough.

Sheryl M. Delozier is the incumbent and Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 88th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 88th in 2008. She presently serves on the Consumer Affairs, Judiciary, Liquor Control, Committee On Ethics, and Labor & Industry House Committees.

Representative Delozier is a graduate of West Chester East High School and the University of Delaware where she earned a BA in Political Science with an emphasis in domestic government. She continued her education at the Open University of the Netherlands, and Pennsylvania State University, obtaining her Master's in Management in Business Administration. She worked in the Auditor General's office before she served on Gov. Tom Ridge's transition team, and continued as senior staff for the eight years of the Ridge and Schweiker administrations.

Representative Delozier and her husband, Christopher, currently reside in Lower Allen Township in Cumberland County. They have two children, Benjamin and Allison.

Maria P. Donatucci is the incumbent and Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 185th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 185th in a special election held in 2011. She presently serves on the Appropriations, Labor & Industry, Liquor Control, Transportation, and Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness House Committees.

Representative Donatucci was born and raised in South Philadelphia. She graduated from the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She earned credits at various institutions of higher learning, including the Philadelphia College of Art, Philadelphia Community College, Pierce Junior College and Temple University. Before assuming office, Representative Donatucci has worked for various departments of the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, as well as an adjudicator and supervisor with the Bureau of Administrative Adjudication. She also assisted her late husband, Representative Robert Donatucci in his office representing the 185th serving as a pro-bono community liaison.

Representative Donatucci resides in Girard Estate and has 2 children, Thomas and Dierdre.

Representative Fee is the widow of Tom Fee, former district judge and mayor of Manheim. She has three children.

Ms. Fitzgerald was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She has served as a concerned neighbor, committee person, ward chairperson, ward leader, Public Safety Area Coordinator for the 14th Police District, long time staffer for State Representative Dwight Evans. and founding member and Chairperson of the Northwest CommUnity Coalition for Youth (NCCY).

Ms. Fitzgerald is a divorced single parent who raised two sons, Raymond and Derrick and a 40 year resident of West Oak Lane.

Ms. Fleck is a retired attorney, having practiced real estate law, estate planning, business formation & tax law for over 20 years in Centre County. Before moving to State College in 1985, she was a law clerk for Erie County Judge Pfadt and PA Superior Court Judge Olszewski in Wilkes-Barre and was part of the in-house counsel team for a mortgage servicing corporation in Dallas, TX.

Ms. Fleck has lived in Ferguson Township for the past 20 years. She is the mother of one daughter, Lauren.

Marcia Hahn is the incumbent and Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 138th Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 138th in 2010 for a special election. She presently serves on the Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Commerce, Health, and Tourism & Recreational Development Committees.

Representative Hahn is a graduate of Nazareth Area High School. She worked for former Rep. Len Gruppo as a legislative aide in the neighboring 137th Legislative District. Then in 1998 she was hired by former Rep. Craig Dally in the 138th District as a constituent outreach coordinator and office manager.

Representative Hahn is proud to call the Borough of Bath home. She is also a devoted mother and grandmother.

Representative Harper obtained her undergraduate degree from LaSalle University and went on to earn her law degree from Villanova University. A practicing lawyer for more than 20 years, she is a partner with the Fort Washington-based firm Timoney Knox LLP.

Representative Harper and her husband, Paul, still reside in Lower Gwynedd Township and have two sons.

Representative Helm graduated from Susquehanna Township Senior High School and earned an associate's degree in liberal arts from Harrisburg Area Community College. She worked as a manager at Capital Blue Cross and decided to start her own real estate business, Century 21 At The Helm.

Ms. Hendricks is a graduate of Boyertown High School and Shippensburg University. She works as Compliance Coordinator for an environmental contract operations company in Harleysville.

Ms. Hendricks has lived most of her life in the 147th District. She and her husband, Tim, are homeowners in Schwenksville.

Kristin Phillips Hill is the incumbent and Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 93rd Legislative District. She was first elected to serve the 93rd in 2014. She presently serves on the Children & Youth, Education, Health, and State Government House Committees.

Representative Hill earned a Master's Degree in Public Policy as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Rutgers University. She has previously worked as a legislative aide. She also owned a small business that purchased antiques and decorative collectibles for interior decorators and antique shops.

Representative Hill is married to Richard and together they are the proud parents of three children.

Cecilia E. Houser is the Republican candidate running for State Representative in the 72nd Legislative District.

Ms. Houser was born and raised in Cambria County, growing up in Ebensburg, she attended Bishop Carroll High School and graduated from Penn State University. She worked as the Development Director of Bishop Carroll High School. Then went on to serve as Executive Director of a non-profit organization and she also worked as Field Director for Energy Citizens. Today, Ms. Houser works with her father, Tim Houser, at the family funeral homes where she serves as family service coordinator.

Linda Iezzi is the Democratic candidate running for State Representative in the 57th Legislative District.

Ms. Iezzi is a retired school teacher and small business owner. She served two terms on the South Greensburg Borough Council and in addition also served as the chair of the South Greensburg Police Department.

Ms. Iezzi and her husband Robert, both Westmoreland County natives, have raised their three children, Anthony, Brianne, and Miranda in their hometown of Greensburg.

Ms. Bartoli taught in the English department at Cumberland Valley High School. She married James Bartoli in 1971, and retired from teaching in 1973 to raise her five children. Ms. Bartoli later pursued a doctorate in language arts and family literacy at the University of Pennsylvania and taught at Elizabethtown College. After retirement Jill worked collaboratively with organizations and foundations in Harrisburg to bring resources to city children, families, and schools. Ms. Bartoli also worked as a substitute teach at Harrisburg High School.
