Transfer Credits

Students may transfer up to 90 credit hours of college level courses into the program. Students who graduated prior to December 2015 from select Pre-Licensure Nursing Schools that hold an articulation agreement with Chatham may be able to transfer even more than 90 credits into the program. All requests for transfer credit must be made prior to enrollment. A minimum of 30 credits, including the 26 required core RN-BSN credits, must be completed at Chatham University.

Second Degree Students

Students who have earned an Associate or Diploma degree from a nursing program and have already earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education may complete the RN-BSN as a second bachelor's degree at Chatham University by only completing the 26 required core RN-BSN credits. Second degree students are exempt from general education and core requirements. All transcripts from prior degrees must be received prior to enrollment for consideration.
