Eden Hall Days
Open to the community, Eden Hall Days are a great way to experience hands-on morning workshops about green buildings, organic agriculture, conservation aquaculture, and more! Later in the day, attendees can enjoy guided hikes, yoga, great food, and an evening of music!
Community Bread Oven
Eden Hall's bread oven began as a student project. Frankie Williams, a Masters of Food Studies student, wanted to build a community gathering place on campus. It is now the site of events like monthly community bakes, where family and friends can enjoy a meal.

The Kitchen Lab
A space to gather, create, and collaborate, The Kitchen Lab at Eden Hall Campus provides students and community members with the equipment, facilities, and know-how they need to learn about food production and preparation in an environment that’s totally hands-on… and totally tasty, too.

Trails Project at Eden Hall
Draft Plan of Eden Hall Trails
Chatham University, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, is completing a Trail Master Planning process for the existing trails on the Eden Hall Campus. Through this process, we are assessing the sustainability of the existing trails and proposing to develop a new trails system. The plan includes an accessible trail loop, a paved trail for those with varying physical abilities that connects to existing paved paths on campus, and a redesigned natural surface track trail through a variety of forest and habitat types. The proposed trail system will include over seven miles of trail.
Workshops
CRAFT Workshops
Presented by the Center for Regional Agriculture and Food Transformation, our food workshops offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about culinary aspects that pique their interests. CRAFT workshops are typically offered in a small class format for students to get more hands-on attention. Workshop topics have included bread baking, chocolate molding, sausage making, wine tasting, pie making, dry-curing meats, and more.
Art Installations & Building Design
In the pursuit of building for sustainability, good design and architecture need not be sacrificed. In fact, these elements complement our approach to sustainability that reaches beyond environmental. Whether it's through the earthen walls in the Barazzone Center, temporary environmental and land-themed art installations, or our campus's integration of design with nature, Eden Hall was built to captivate and inspire.
