12:00 PM – 12:35 PM

Webinar Four of the Chatham Master of Communication Lunchtime Webinar Series with Dr. Marybeth Mannarino & Dr. Katie Cruger. Changing a person’s attitude is plenty difficult. Encouraging a person to alter their behavior can feel downright impossible. In this webinar, we will discuss research from psychology and communication that can help communication practitioners overcome audience obstacles to taking action. Marybeth Mannarino is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Chatham University, focused especially on teaching counselors and psychologists about the social justice and health impacts of climate change and other environmental problems, and also about individual and communal benefits of healthy connections with nature. Katie Cruger is Assistant Professor of Communication and Director of the MComm program at Chatham University, whose research specializes in sustainability communication and public decision-making around environmental issues.
