Being a high school student media advisor can be a rewarding-yet-challenging (and even lonely, at times) experience. This free 60-minute webinar is designed to be a space for you to learn, share and be supported.

Join Chatham University student media adviser Sara Bauknecht for an interactive discussion covering practical advice, favorite resources and tried-and-true best practices for mentoring student journalists. Advisors of all experience levels are welcome!

Two options to choose from:
• 5-6 p.m. ET Thursday, Oct. 23
• 3-4 p.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 29

ABOUT SARA BAUKNECHT: Sara Bauknecht is an assistant professor of communication and student media advisor at Chatham University, where she mentors student journalists in print and multimedia storytelling. She's also a member and certified student media advisor through the national College Media Association.

Beyond the classroom, she has 15-plus years of professional experience spanning broadcast, print and digital media work in New York City and in Pittsburgh, including gigs with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, CBS News, NY1 News, Penguin Group publishing and Conde Nast. Additionally, her professional media experience includes co-owning XSquared Media, a strategic communication agency that blends traditional and new-media storytelling strategies to help clients amplify their missions, through the lens of centering equity.
