BIOGRAPHY

Mirón Avidan is a tenure track Assistant Professor of Sustainable Business at Chatham University, with a primary appointment in the Falk School of Sustainability & Environment (FSSE) and a secondary appointment in the School of Business & Enterprise (SBE). His research focuses on organizational mitigation and adaptation of sustainability grand challenges such as climate change, water crises, and the Water-Energy Nexus, with particular attention to reporting, disclosure, and accountability. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, Regulation & Governance, Nature: Climate Change, and is forthcoming in the Journal of Business Ethics.

Miron teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses emphasizing applied analytics, real-world data, and community-engaged learning in the context of local and global sustainability channelings. To this end, he has been working closely with local NGOs and Chatham partners (such as 3RWK, New Sun Rising, Upstream PGH, Riverlife, and Responsible Alpha). Prior to his academic career, Mirón managed the publicly traded Maala Index for Corporate Social Responsibility and served as a consultant and strategic planner in the public sector in Israel.
