Bachelor of Arts/Science in Mathematics
The goal of our mathematics program is to help students build a solid foundation of mathematical knowledge to prepare them for graduate or engineering study, employment in a wide range of industries, or for elementary or secondary teaching certification.
Both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees are available for mathematics students to pursue. Minors are available in Mathematics, and Masters of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degrees and secondary certification are also available.
At Chatham, mathematics students explore the principle branches of mathematics, including calculus, algebra, probability, and statistics, along with analysis, with emphasis on applications of mathematics to the sciences and social sciences. Students work closely with a dedicated faculty with opportunities to apply what they learn in research programs and beyond.
