Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will be joining with Mayors Against Illegal Guns and CeaseFirePA to honor the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary, as well as the thousands of Americans lost to gun violence. The simple, solemn ceremony will include remarks from Moms Demand Action, Poet and Performance Artist Vanessa German, prose readings from Chatham faculty and students, a handbell performance by Roberta “Bert” Erickson, and end with a communal bell-ringing ceremony to both to remember the victims and show our resolve to continue speaking out until meaningful action is taken to make our country safer.
