Business Programs Overview
Students come to Chatham to study business because of our small, dynamic classes, one-on-one advising by expert faculty, robust networks, and hands-on, open-door approach. Our MBA programs are designed for working adults and offer options, depending on which concentration you choose, whether you choose to study on-campus or online, or whether you wish to pair your MBA with a graduate degree in food studies or in sustainability.

On-campus MBA
In Chatham’s on-campus Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, students develop the skills and knowledge identified by business leaders as vital in an increasingly competitive job market–skills like entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, effective communication, and leadership. No GMAT is required, and courses are offered in 15-week formats beginning each fall. For optimum flexibility, some courses and components are offered or delivered online.
Online MBA
In Chatham’s online Master of Business Administration program—ranked in 2020 as a best Online MBA program by U.S. News and World Report—students choose between concentrations in Healthcare Management or Entrepreneurial Leadership & Strategy. Courses are delivered in an accelerated 7.5-week format, and students have the option to join the program in the fall or spring.
Dual-degree Master of Arts in Food Studies (MAFS) + MBA
Chatham’s dual-degree MAFS+MBA program leverages the strengths of our Master of Arts in Food Studies and Master of Business Administration programs to create a curriculum that develops business acumen in aspects of food systems. Graduates gain knowledge in key areas, such as product development, supply chains, agricultural practices, labor, and sustainability, while engaging in hands-on project management and experiential learning.
Dual-degree Master of Sustainability (MSUS) + MBA
Students in Chatham’s dual-degree Master of Sustainability + MBA program develop sustainability leadership in business management. The MSUS + MBA positions graduates for leadership positions in sustainability across all sectors, including business, government, and NGOs. The program includes foundational coursework in business and sustainability as well as advanced work in various aspects of sustainability.
MBA Program Faculty
MBA faculty bring their real-world experience to augment students' understanding of concepts and practices, preparing students to adapt their learning to complex scenarios. Areas of expertise include law; taxation; information systems; industrial/organizational psychology; finance and administration; and more.

Center for Women's Entrepreneurship
The Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University creates economic opportunities for people of all genders through entrepreneurial education and training, mentoring, and networking. Many events are open to students, and there are other ways for students to participate, too.
