Exchanges & Partner Programs

Chatham University has signed agreements with institutions worldwide to allow study abroad opportunities for Chatham students through exchange and partner programs. Exchange and partner programs enable Chatham students to study at a variety of institutions while earning credit toward their degree and being immersed in the culture of some of the world's most interesting locations.

Students who are approved to enroll in a Chatham semester exchange program pay tuition to Chatham which allows you to maintain your financial aid package for the term(s) abroad, including Chatham grants and scholarships. Students approved to enroll in partner programs cannot use Chatham grants and scholarships toward their study abroad program. Summer abroad programs are direct enrollment.  Students can apply for additional financial aid (in the form of loans) for study abroad through the Office of Financial Aid. In most cases, room and board charges are paid directly to the institution abroad.

Students may use their $1200 study abroad voucher toward the program costs of any program for which the student is earning academic credit toward their degree. Students completing an International Studies Certificate in one of five regions of the world may be eligible for an additional $1800 toward a credit bearing experience abroad.
